Emily Burt, one of my best friends and pen pals for years, and I were at some kind of conference or service where a saying came up -- Love Always Inspires Righteous Motives. For years after that, we always signed our letters with L.A.I.R.M.
It's become a little joke with us, but I've always thought it to be really poignant. I hope I always do!

I did a Google search of "Lairm," and found your post! I was a member of a singing group called Second Glance in the early '90s. We were a male quintet that did mostly acappella songs, and sang for many Christian events, such as music festivals, youth retreats, etc. I'm happy to know that the word "Lairm" has a presence on the Internet, and that you have fond memories associated with this term. :)
